I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
